What we record

For each request we record the tool used, the parameters it was given (for example search words, quantities and dates), what was returned, the time, and how long it took. When you open a product link or image the server provided, we record that too.

We do not store IP addresses. To count distinct connections within a day we keep a one-way hash of your IP address and browser or client identifier, combined with a secret that changes every day, so it cannot be linked across days or reversed. If your organization connects through a partner address Pop! issued to it, requests are labelled with your organization's name.

What not to send

Search parameters may include whatever text is typed, which can include the names of your clients. Please do not put personal information or confidential client details into searches.

How long we keep it

Search parameters are deleted after 90 days. After that we keep only counts, such as how often a word that matched no product was searched in a month, and the request metadata above.

How we use it

To keep the service working, to understand which products distributors look for, and to find products we do not yet offer. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
